As a Lead Security Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the security of our platform and infrastructure. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll design and implement security solutions to protect our systems against a wide range of threats, from web application attacks and DDoS to sophisticated intrusion attempts. Your responsibilities will include incident response, security policy development, threat analysis, documentation and staying abreast of the latest security technologies and trends.

Your challenges and objectives:
- Develop a deep understanding of our infrastructure and platform.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design a robust security layer.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing security infrastructure and propose solutions.
- Define standards and policies with a DevSecOps/SRE mindset and advocate for their adoption.
- Design and automate complex operations for global scalability.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Investigate new vulnerabilities and develop remediation strategies.
- Enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Respond to security incidents, analyzing root cause and proposing post corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and trends, making recommendations for new implementations.
- Implement security projects in our platform and applications.
About you:
- Excellent Linux knowledge.
- Solid programming skills in languages such as PHP, Python or Java.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Understanding of networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with web application security measures (challenges, CAPTCHAs, bot detection techniques, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data encryption, key management, and hybrid cloud security.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, pen tests, and incident response.
- Experience with cloud administration and containerization (AWS, Kubernetes, OpenStack).
- Familiarity with product as a service operations.
- Any security certification is a plus.
