In the US, our Quality Assurance Engineers work across diverse projects and tech stacks. They play a key role in ensuring that Avature’s web applications, integrations, and custom portals work together smoothly, offering users a seamless and powerful experience. They are technically versatile and proactive professionals who are comfortable wearing multiple hats—able to jump into integration testing, UI/portal validation, and configuration reviews with ease. Together, they thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate across areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Your challenges and objectives:

  • Ensure seamless functionality across integrations, portals, and configurations, contributing to a consistent and high-quality user experience.
  • Own end-to-end testing efforts across varied projects, identifying potential issues early and ensuring reliable system behavior.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and uphold quality standards in every phase of development.

Your day-to-day activities:

  • Analyze business requirements, use cases, and technical documentation to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual UI, integration, and configuration testing, validating data flow and system interactions across multiple platforms.
  • Identify, log, and manage defects, working closely with developers and consultants to resolve them efficiently.
  • Use tools like Postman or SoapUI to test APIs and monitor system behavior during integration testing.
  • Document and communicate test results and insights to support continuous improvement.

About you:

  • Be willing and eligible to be sponsored for US government security clearance.
  • Experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer working on a variety of project types (e.g., integrations, portals, and configurations).
  • Solid knowledge of integration technologies like RESTful APIs, SOAP services, webhooks, and messaging systems. Strong hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV, and the ability to debug and test data transformations.
  • Understanding of middleware technologies such as APIs, web services, or messaging systems is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and spot performance bottlenecks or functional gaps.
  • Excellent communication skills, including feeling comfortable documenting findings, presenting results, and working collaboratively across teams.
