The Developer Experience (DevEx) team is responsible for making developers' lives easier and more efficient. Their mission is to ensure that developers have access to all the tools, resources, and information they need to be productive, while streamlining how those tools are used. By removing obstacles and simplifying workflows, the DevEx team empowers developers to focus on what they do best: building high-quality software.

Your challenges and objectives:

• Provide the environments where Avature's developers run applications.
• Improve the deployment and configuration processes.
• Ensure fluid communication between the development and IT areas.
• Envision integrations between different internal systems.
• Program complex operations to scale in globally distributed datacenters.

Your day-to-day activities:

• Develop system tools to automate environment creation and deployments.
• Interact with different virtualization platforms: AWS, KVM, LXD, Docker.
• Build continuous testing by automation and virtualization.
• Perform code reviews, technical analysis of existing code, and refactors to improve code quality.
• Design our configuration management system, deployment platform and its associated processes.
• Promote best practices in deployments and infrastructure management across various teams.
• Maintain Jenkins and Gitlab pipelines for the team and help the CI/CD team to enhance capabilities for the rest of teams.

About you:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Software development skills and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating system concepts.
• Superior analytical/troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge (or willingness to learn) infrastructure management technologies (Puppet, Packer, Terraform, LXD, AWS, KVM, Docker, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in any structured programming language (preferably Python).
• Experience in product as a service operation.
• Open source experience or contribution to any Linux/Unix distribution.
