Position available for candidates based in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, CABA, Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza.

At Avature, our Machine Learning team works on advanced ML and Agentic AI capabilities integrated directly into our SaaS platform, including information extraction, semantic representation, advanced information retrieval, and autonomous agents running on our in-house orchestration layer.

As a Data Manager for our Machine Learning team, you will bridge raw data, human intelligence, and cutting-edge machine learning. You will own the data lifecycle behind our AI R&D initiatives, leading human annotation efforts, collaborating on automated labeling pipelines, and supporting data governance and AI regulatory compliance.

Be part of the team building the data foundation for two of our highest-impact R&D pillars: ML-powered core capabilities using custom fine-tuned models, and Agentic AI powered by state-of-the-art third-party LLMs.

Your challenges and objectives:

  • Own the data lifecycle for AI R&D projects, ensuring data is precise, organized, traceable, and ready to support model development and testing.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality data corpora for training and testing proprietary models.
  • Lead human annotation efforts, ensuring external annotators are properly sourced, trained, onboarded, and supported.
  • Collaborate on the design and execution of automated, LLM-powered agentic pipelines for data labeling, pre-processing, and validation.
  • Work with AI Engineers and QA to help develop evaluation methods and benchmarks for Agentic AI features.
  • Maintain data governance standards by tracking data provenance, lineage, and usage across R&D projects.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, and customer-facing teams to support AI compliance, data privacy, and model training usage documentation and inquiries.

Your day-to-day activities:

  • Partner with Machine Learning Engineers to define, scope, and develop data corpora for model training and testing.
  • Source, hire, train, and onboard external annotators.
  • Design annotation guidelines, review annotator deliverables, and implement QA processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate on data labeling, pre-processing, and validation workflows using agentic pipelines.
  • Work alongside AI Engineers and QA to define evaluation methods and benchmarks for Agentic AI features.
  • Maintain a detailed data catalog to track provenance, lineage, and usage across R&D projects.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation required for AI governance and regulatory compliance, and support customer-facing teams with related inquiries.

About you:

  • Strong understanding of data annotation methodologies, data pipelines, and data cataloging tools.
  • Familiarity with AI prompting and building or structuring agentic workflows or skills.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, data privacy laws, or compliance documentation is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on precision, cleanliness, and organization of data.
  • Highly organized and self-disciplined, with the ability to own projects from conception to execution with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data requirements between Machine Learning Engineers, legal counsels, and business stakeholders.
