Technical Leaders take the lead in this journey, using their analytical and technical skills (and above all, their enthusiasm) to tackle the complex problems of a feature-rich yet user-friendly enterprise application, driving forward the growth of a product used by thousands of users every day

Your challenges and objectives:

  • Achieve a rounded knowledge of our platform by understanding the complex interaction of a wide range of areas and services, from network layer to final user. 
  • Lead and design the deployment and configuration of Avature's applications.
  • Have a vision of the team’s ideal design and plan a technical roadmap to get there. 
  • Align your team in a vision for the set of modules, products, or applications within its scope. 
  • Take an active role in your team’s development in collaboration with the team manager. 
  • Own and be responsible for your team’s code quality. Taking care of: reliability, security, performance, scalability, maintainability, alignment with design standards, etc.

Your day-to-day activities:

  • Ensure that the technical roadmap is followed and monitor the production environment.
  • Coach team members on the technical aspects of their activities.
  • Promote best practices in deployments and infrastructure management across various teams.
  • See to the technical side of day-to-day work, ensuring that technical analysis and code reviews are performed, among other tasks. 
  • Design our configuration management system, deployment platform and its associated processes.
  • Proactively plan, design, and develop highly distributed systems.
  • Help your team navigate tradeoffs between functional and non-functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability, etc.).

About you:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong background in OOP, architecture, performance, and efficiency.
  • Mentoring and leadership experience.
  • Superior analytical/troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of operating system concepts.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management technologies (Puppet, Packer, Terraform, LXD, AWS, KVM, Docker, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in any structured programming language (preferably Python).
  • Experience in product as a service operation.
  • Working knowledge of Unix, preferably Linux.
